Surrounded by nature, follow our guides as you discover how the landscape was shaped in the postglacial period. Three guided treks are offered:
The Seashell Valley
In the midst of the boreal forest, explore a place that is
unique in the world: a seashell deposit that is 5 to 15 meters high, 10,000 years old, and 90% shellfish.
Peoples of the Ice Age
Travel along a route that lets you relive the experience
of our prehistoric ancestors and discover what their dwellings were like.

Reservation office: Open from 8:00 to 19:00
- Reservations are necessary for the Sea kayak touring, the Via ferrata by the Sea and the Guided treks.
- Reservations are strongly suggested for the Glacier Exploration Station

Virtual, with the Glacier Exploration Station, where you get acquainted with the whole gamut of observable phenomena concerning glaciers. Travel back in time and experience the northern adventure 20,000 years under the ice, that is what visitors are offered at the Glacier Exploration Station! Thanks to the magic of sound, image, light, and multimedia technologies, the virtual expedition transports you to the center of the glacier and the climate change field of inquiry.
Set up in a converted church, the Glacier Exploration Station features a multimedia installation in three acts, composed of spectacular projections and settings, as well as different thematic zones. Equipped with a headset through which scientific content is delivered, the visitor-explorer is taken on a gripping and impressive journey!
After the journey, the visitor-explorer is able to understand the phenomena which caused the formation of glaciers, climate changes and the migration of the ice peoples. An experience that is rich in emotions and suited to all ages.
Cyberspace, with the Cyber Center , a true cyberspace entity, interactive and cognitive, centered on education, information and the promotion of the study of glaciers and climate changes. The nerve center is the Multimedia Experience and Research Room of the Glacier Exploration Station, and by extension, the Jardin des glaciers website. The Cyber Center is a continuation of the visitor-explorer's experience. Before, during and after the visit, the visitors can remain in contact with the Jardin des glaciers, from anywhere on the planet, to continue training and to share experiences and knowledge related to the themes of glaciers and climate changes.
