With a geographic location that attracts business and encourages expansion, Baie-Comeau regional industrial park is a highly appealing prospect for any investor. It encompasses over 144 hectares of land near major highway, maritime, and rail transport networks.

On the cutting edge of industrial development, diversification, and revitalization, the municipality continues to meet to investor needs by making economic vitality a priority.

Since 2005, our Industrial and Commercial Development Program has provided financial assistance to any promoter wishing to carry out a manufacturing or industrial project in the regional industrial park. The rail service linking the park to port and rail/port facilities is another definite advantage for export firms.

Natural resources and manufacturing are among Baie-Comeau’s economic mainstays. The industrial, commercial, and service sectors as well as tourism and culture also play a major role.

Baie-Comeau boasts two thriving commercial sectors—Place La Salle and Centre-Ville du Plateau—run by commercial development corporations in symbiosis with the Baie-Comeau economy.
